Art of Listening

This workshop focuses on the role played by listening in the communication process. Participants learn about how to establish effective workplace relationships by sharpening their listening skills. They also learn about the importance of listening skills during presentations and conference calls.

During a workshop on listening skills, participants do the following activities:

Engage in group discussions to find out about barriers to effective listening

Perform activities to learn about the distinctions between pure and impure listening

Use case studies to learn about effective listening techniques and reduce communication gaps

Listen to audio material to learn about the importance of silence in effective listening
